Intraflagellar Transport, Kinesin-2, Cryo-EM, TIRF, Cilia

I study how the anterograde motor, kinesin-2, is regulated in humans. To acheive this I employ a variety of methods usch as Cryo-EM and TIRF microscopy. Understanding the process of IFT is integral to elucidating not only how cilia are built, maintained and deconstructed, but in how they perpetrate their function as a cellular antennae.
